The National Weather Service has predicted a major storm will arrive in the area this afternoon, brining rain, high winds and possibly damaging lightning and hail.

Current meteorological observations for area, show winds at 11, gusting to 23 knots. Rain is scattered, but visibility remains excellent at 10 miles.

From 0414 to 0518 winds at 12 knots, ceiling broken at 1500 AGL and overcast at 3000 AGL. Looks like visibility will be diminished to 6 miles, with ceilings dropping to 2000 AGL, then lifting to 5000 with thunderstorm and rain.
